Photography books we’ve found, rediscovered & love.
The Claxton Projects website is a curated selection of contemporary and vintage photography books from the Claxton Projects library. This archive includes books by some of photography’s most distinguished, imaginative and inventive artists and is intended to provide an introduction to new collectors, whilst highlighting the occasional overlooked title to the more seasoned photography book enthusiast. Above all else, Claxton Projects is a celebration of great photography books and the wonderful images within.
Founder and editor Tom Claxton is a New York based photographers’ agent with over fifteen years experience in art and commercial photography. Now the senior US agent at Webber Represents, he develops and manages the careers of some of the world’s most productive and creative photographers. As well as working on consultancy, curating and editing assignments, Tom Claxton also sources and curates photography book collections for individual clients and international organisations.
Claxton Projects will be publishing the first in a series of photography books in late 2013, collaborating with some of the medium’s most inspirational and intelligent editors, writers, designers and photographers, who will help to share our passion and enthusiasm for the printed photography book.
